Waking up this morning, I had a strong urge in my spirit to rededicate and commit my life to living for christ, loving and serving Him more. I was overwhelmed with the feeling to giving him my all, using my every breath to serve Him and to bring honor to Him.
This feeling made me to become more conscious of God in the way I speak with others, act, love, serve and everything. I just want to do whatever will make God happy.
I was able to make this decision today, no matter the situation, opposition, discouragement or any weapon the devil may throw at me, just to make me stop loving and serving God, I will not give in to it. For who shall spearate me from the Love if Christ? Nothing! Absolutely Nothing!
“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?” Romans 8:35NLT
I am confident of this very thing, that God’s love for me never fails, therefore, I will keep on Loving and serving Him, “For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better”
“For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.” Philippians 1:21 NLT
Living for christ is to spend my every breath, pleasing him in loving service to God and to others.
Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! Psalm 63:3 NLT
Here is an encouragement for someone out there
When life feels like a whirlwind of responsibilities, relationships, and dreams, leaving you wondering: What’s the purpose of it all? Philippians 1:21 gives us a powerful answer: “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” This verse reminds us that our lives finds her deepest meaning when lived for Christ. But How can we use every breath to bring glory and honor to God?
Here are five practical ways:
1. Cultivate a Relationship with God
Living for Christ begins with knowing Him. Just as you nurture friendships by spending time together, your relationship with God grows through prayer, Bible study, and worship. Start small—set aside a few minutes each day to pray or read a Bible verse. These moments of connection will strengthen your faith and help you understand how God wants to work through you. This will help you to understand what God’s will for you is in every situation.
Practical tip: Download a Bible app or follow a devotional plan that suits your schedule. Listening to worship music can also uplift your spirit and help you focus on God’s presence throughout the day.
2. Love and Serve Others
Jesus taught us to love one another as He has love us. One of the best ways to live for Christ is by showing kindness, compassion, and forgiveness to those around you. Whether it’s helping a friend, volunteering at a local charity, or simply being there for someone in need, small acts of service reflect Christ’s love. Loving others is our shared Identity with Christ.
“Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:35NLT
Practical tip: Look for opportunities to serve in your community or church. Even offering to help a struggling classmate with homework can be an act of love that glorifies God.
3. Honor God with Your Choices
Our choices reflect who we are and what we value. When we make decisions that align with God’s Word, we demonstrate that we’re living for Christ. This might mean standing up for what’s right, saying no to peer pressure, or choosing honesty when it’s easier to lie.
“Fear of the LORD is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.” Proverbs 9:10
Practical tip: When faced with a tough decision, ask yourself: Does this choice honor God? What does the word of God says about situations like this? Seek advice from trusted mentors or Christian friends when you’re unsure.
4. Share Your Faith
Living for Christ means letting others see Him through you. This doesn’t mean you need to have all the answers or preach a sermon—it’s about sharing the hope and joy that Christ gives you. Whether through conversations, social media, or simply the way you live, your life can point others to Jesus.
Practical tip: Share a favorite Bible verse on social media or talk about how your faith helps you face challenges. Be authentic—it’s okay to admit you’re still growing in your journey with Christ.
5. Live with Gratitude and Joy
A heart of gratitude transforms the way you view life. When you focus on God’s blessings—big and small—you’ll find purpose even in ordinary moments. Joy isn’t about being happy all the time; it’s about trusting that God is in control, even when life gets tough.
Practical tip: Start a gratitude journal where you write down three things you’re thankful for each day. Let your joy and thankfulness shine in your interactions with others.
Conclusion
Living for Christ isn’t about being perfect—it’s about surrendering your life to Him and letting His love guide your actions. As teenagers and young adults, you have the energy and passion to make a difference in the world. Use every breath to honor God, serve others, and embrace the purpose He has for you.
Remember, to live is Christ—each moment is an opportunity to grow in faith and reflect His glory. Let your life be a light that inspires others to find their purpose in Him too!
