Matthew 11:28-30
Welcome to today’s episode of Women Extraordinaire podcast. Let me share with you a verse that has brought me so much peace: Matthew 11:28-30.
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Doesn’t that just feel like a warm invitation? Life can be overwhelming, can’t it? Sometimes, my heart feels so weighed down by all the cares and worries of this world. But when I feel like I can’t carry it anymore, I remember these words in Matthew 11:28-30 and lay everything down at the feet of Jesus. I let Him take the burdens, and in exchange, I feel His Love wrap around me like a big, comforting hug. That’s where I find rest. That’s where I find peace.
How about you? Are you carrying too much today? Maybe the responsibilities of work, family, or just life in general feel like they’re pressing down hard on you. Maybe you’re so tired and it’s hard to even take the next step.
Here’s the good news: You don’t have to do it all alone. Jesus is inviting you to come to Him, to let go of the weight you’ve been holding onto. Picture yourself laying it all down at the cross, every worry, every fear, every burden and letting His Love and Light fill you up.
Doesn’t that sound relieving? Yes, it is. You don’t have to carry the load by yourself. You weren’t meant to. Jesus cares for you deeply. He wants to walk with you, to share the load, and to give you the kind of rest your soul has been longing for.
So take a deep breath. Pause for a moment. And let Him in. You’ll be amazed at the peace that follows.
